Bringing your fishing history across

Import photos straight from your camera roll: Fishing Codex reads each photo's date, time and place, and works out the moon and the tide for the day it was actually taken. Import GPX, KML and CSV files too, including waypoint exports from a fishfinder or chartplotter, up to 10,000 entries in one file.

A quick-tag step afterwards lets you name the species across a whole batch at once.

Once they are in, they are entries like any other: pins on your private map, rows in your entries list, and material for your statistics and your Species Codex. A decade of photos turns into your best moon phases and seasons per species.

Every recorded track is backed up to your own account, so a new or replaced phone does not cost you your history. A track is visible to you alone and appears on no map but yours. Delete it on one phone and it goes everywhere.

You decide, entry by entry, whether anything from it is ever published. Free listings publish from the app or the website; paid listings on the website. Anything you publish can be unlisted at any time, and whoever already has it keeps what they have.

There is one global early-adopter window during which imported entries can be published, up to fifty live at a time; unlisting one frees a slot. Entries captured with the app camera stay publishable afterwards, and Local Intel is never bound by the window, so an old archive keeps its value there for good.
